# Unicron > A native Mac app for a second brain made of plain markdown files. Claude writes your daily brief, turns transcripts into clean notes, and keeps your tasks straight. Unicron is a Mac-only front end for a personal knowledge system. Your notes live as plain markdown files on your own disk, and Claude acts as the engine that reads, writes, and organizes them. Nothing is locked into a single app or LLM, so the same folder opens in Obsidian, git, or any text editor. ## What it does - Daily brief: opens to Today and writes a brief from your whole vault: your priorities, the open threads, and what's due. - Library: read and edit your notes as clean markdown across people, areas, projects, meetings, and journal. - Projects: gather the meetings, tasks, and loose thinking for one body of work in a single place. - Tasks: pull every open task across the vault into one sorted list. - Graph: see the whole vault as a map of linked notes. - Capture: press Command-N to add a meeting, task, project, note, or person. Paste a transcript and Claude turns it into a clean note and files it. ## What you need - An Apple Silicon (M-series) Mac. Unicron is a native Mac app and does not run on Windows or Intel Macs. - The Claude Code CLI. The app installs it for you on first run. - A paid Claude plan (Pro or Max). Unicron uses your own Claude account as the engine, so there is no second subscription. ## Pricing Unicron is free. Download it and use it. If it earns a spot in your day, you can pay what you want through Lemon Squeezy, but you don't have to. ## Privacy Your notes stay on your Mac. Unicron has no server of its own and never collects them. When you use an AI feature, the note content goes to Anthropic through the Claude CLI running under your own paid plan. ## Links - [Homepage](https://unicron.konigi.com): product overview, screenshots, and FAQ. - [Terms of Use](https://unicron.konigi.com/terms): the terms for using the app. - [Privacy Policy](https://unicron.konigi.com/privacy): how your data is handled. ## About Unicron is made by Michael Angeles (konigi).
